Actichem MethSan (A) [DR610] is the core "Main Wash" component of the Actichem MethSan professional illicit drug decontamination and remediation system.

Formulated with a specialized potentiated hydrogen peroxide matrix and super-wetting penetrants, MethSan (A) is engineered to break down, solubilize, and permanently deactivate methamphetamine, precursor chemicals, and associated toxic drug residues on structural surfaces. Used in combination with MethSan (B) Boost formulations (Foam Boost or Fog Boost), it delivers an aggressive oxidative reaction that penetrates deep into wall linings, drywall, concrete, and timber to achieve post-remediation clearance standards.

Application areas and surface suitability

Designed for painted drywall, timber framing, concrete, tiles, structural subfloors, and HVAC components in properties contaminated by illicit drug manufacture or smoking.

How to use

Pre-clean surfaces using Actichem MethSan PreWash (DR634) to remove oily and carbonaceous soils. Wear full PPE including chemical coveralls, impervious gloves, and respiratory protection.

Dilutions
  • Foam Application: Mix 9 parts MethSan (A) with 1 part MethSan (B) Foam Boost.
  • Fog / Spray Application: Mix 9 parts MethSan (A) with 1 part MethSan (B) Fog Boost.
Application
  1. Apply MethSan (A) + (B) mixture liberally to affected surfaces using a specialized foam generator or coarse sprayer.
  2. Allow 15 to 30 minutes active dwell time for oxidation and chemical deactivation.
  3. Wipe down or extract surfaces using clean microfibre towels or wet extraction equipment.
  4. Allow area to dry thoroughly before conducting post-remediation swab testing.
