Actichem Defender CSD50 (AP677) is a state-of-the-art, solvent-based dual-action consolidator and water-repellent penetrating sealer engineered for soft, crumbling, or friable porous stone, concrete, and masonry substrates.

Defender CSD50 penetrates 10mm to 20mm deep into mineral substrates, depositing microscopic silicate consolidating compounds that bind loose particles together to restore structural strength. Simultaneously, it creates a robust hydrophobic barrier that repels water, salt attacks, efflorescence, and moisture-borne stains while preserving the substrate's natural vapour permeability and original look.

How to use

Ensure surfaces are completely clean, dry, and structurally free of loose dirt, oils, and waxes. Pre-test on a sample area to verify compatibility. Solvent-based product: ensure adequate ventilation and extinguish ignition sources.

Dilutions

Application
  1. Apply liberally using a low-pressure solvent-resistant sprayer, roller, or natural bristle brush.
  2. Apply wet-on-wet coats until the substrate is thoroughly saturated (typically 2-3 applications for friable stone).
  3. Allow 10-15 minutes penetration time between saturation coats.
  4. Wipe off any excess unabsorbed liquid before it dries. Allow 24-48 hours for full cure.
